The application of natural gas hydrates as an energy source摘要
Gas hydrates are clathrate physical substances that enclose gas molecules in water molecules held by hydrogen bonds. All gases create hydrates at various pressures and temperatures. Gas composition, pressure, and temperature strongly affect solid gas hydrate crystal structure. Three crystalline structures occur at moderate pressure and approximately 10 over 100 MPa. Water with natural gas at low temperature and high pressure forms gas hydrate. Oil, gas, and pipeline equipment commonly have such circumstances. Hydrate plugs impair gas transmission systems. Gas hydrates are found in permafrost and seafloors. Natural gas hydrates are unconventional energy. Hydrated offshore and onshore gas reserves exceed 1.5 × 1016 m3. Natural gas hydrates are 97% offshore and 3% on land. Some nations have effective government gas hydrate research projects. 230 gas hydrate formations, 100 wells, and kilometers of cores were found. Most nations have easy access to gas hydrate. New gas hydrate development technologies and gas hydrate recovery instruments are being developed. Siberia produces natural gas from hydrates. Researchers research natural gas hydrates at reservoir conditions and create novel methods to explore and produce gas from hydrate deposits in diverse geological formations.
