Geothermal energy is a natural resource distinguished by its renewal, ecology, and sustainability properties. Notwithstanding this fact, it is still scarcely used worldwide and manifestly in Morocco, most notably on an industrial scale. Besides, most of the approaches developed globally are heavily dependent on the availability of reservoir data. However, as these data are often limited in the early phases of any geothermal development, stochastic and risk analysis methodologies are commonly the most adopted to estimate geothermal potential. In this paper, we use the volumetric approach to assess the energy resource based on the range of values of different reservoir parameters performed using Monte Carlo simulation. This study reveals a significant potential in the Northeast region of Morocco to exploit for heating and power generation purposes.
